New Tales from the Borderlands Leaks With October Release Date

A retail leak has revealed the title and new details for the upcoming Tales from the Borderlands sequel.

Deluxe Edition is now posted Amazon, the sequel to Tales from the Borderlands is simply titled New Tales from the Borderlands and the listing says the game will be released on October 21, 2022. Many of those tweets have since been deleted, but you can still see the box art by clicking the Amazon link.

There are also new details about the story, with a description that players will decide the fate of “the altruistic scientist Anu, her ambitious and ‘streetwise’ brother Octavio, and the ferocious and Frogltsling Fran.” Manipulate and manipulate his thrilling five-part story!”

The description also says that more characters will be returning, in addition to a new cast of faces. It is written that it determines the ending of the story.

A sequel to Tales from the Borderlands was announced in April. Gearbox released few details at the time, only saying that we could expect “new adventures, new characters” and “new stories” from the sequel.

The sequel was made by Gearbox and 2K, but the 2014 original was developed by Telltale Games. Rather than featuring the looter shooter gameplay that fans have come to expect from the Borderlands franchise, it’s a story-based spin-off similar to Telltale’s other games like The Walking Dead. Its story is set between the events of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands 3 and follows two narrators, Rhys and Fiona, as they encounter classic Borderlands characters while searching for a safe.
