Nvidia Announces December Release Date For Portal RTX

Nvidia has announced that a graphically enhanced upgrade Portal RTX will be released on December 8th.

revealed in blog postthe December release date is slightly behind the company’s original November release plan, but fans will still have to wait another week or so.

Portal’s free DLC upgrades the 2007 puzzle game with ray tracing and remade high-res textures. DLSS2 enables full ray tracing, and Nvidia’s latest DLSS 3 technology boosts frame rates by more than 2.8x for users who own RTX 40 series graphics cards.

Portal RTX was announced at Nvidia’s GTC keynote in September, along with RTX Remix, a tool used to remaster games using ray tracing.

Nvidia said the tool will also be available so players can upgrade their other games, though it’s unclear if this will start at the same time as the Portal update or if it will be released at a later time.
