Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4090 Could Already Be in Production
Nvidia has yet to officially announce their GeForce RTX 40 series graphics cards based on the Ada Lovelace architecture. Still, if a leaked document from one of the Chinese manufacturers is genuine and correct, it looks like the next-generation flagship GeForce RTX 4090 with 24GB of memory is already in production.
famous hardware blogger @harukaze5719 (opens in new tab) found excerpts of documents that allegedly originated from a graphics card manufacturing facility. The document likely describes manufacturing schedules, quantities, and other characteristics of graphics board manufacturing at an unknown factory. Among the products listed, Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4090 card is mentioned next to his August 16th date and is said to be “expected in August”.
According to excerpts from the documentation, the card utilizes the codenamed AD102 graphics processing unit (but without a model/configuration suffix), has 24GB of memory, and has four display outputs (three DisplayPorts and one HDMI).
We don’t know if the documents are genuine, but Chinese sources sometimes leak the real documents. Additionally, considering that we don’t have access to those documents and we don’t know what the documents describe, we believe that on August 16th, a factory in China announced that Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4090-based graphics card. I would like to refrain from stating that production has started. A comment about how many boards are created may indicate that they are not.
However, if the manufacturer wants to hit the market in September or October, now is the time to start manufacturing Nvidia’s next-generation flagship graphics cards, or at least samples based on the final design. In fact, the lack of any mention of the GeForce RTX 4090 production volume means that the factory was planning to produce samples and on September 16th he was supposed to get the AD102 chip and board components. There is a possibility.
Like other companies, Nvidia does not pre-announce products or disclose production schedules for competitive reasons. Still, bearing in mind the number of GeForce RTX 40-related leaks that have occurred in recent months, we should be warned that the new family could arrive sooner or later unless Nvidia decides to delay it by a few weeks in its bid. To allow partners to sell their existing GeForce RTX 30 Series inventory. This is still one of the best graphics cards he has.
