Paradox Announcement Show 2023: Everything Announced

Paradox Interactive, publisher of Cities: Skylines and Crusader Kings, held a showcase today, showcasing updates on previously announced games and some brand-new titles. From the newly revealed Cities: Skylines II to the new expansion revealed with Crusader Kings III, read on for everything announced at today’s event.

Cities Revealed in Colossal Order: Skylines II

Cities: Skylines II Coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC later this yearThe announcement promised the most realistic city simulation ever created, with transportation and economic systems, construction and customization options, and more modding capabilities. In the original sequel, players can build any type of city they want, from small villages to giant metropolises.

Crusader Kings III: Tour and Tournament Expansion Revealed

Crusader Kings III is getting a new PC expansion titled Tours & Tournaments. This expansion to Paradox’s strategy RPG allows players to tour a monarch’s realm, check in on vassals, hold or battle grand tournaments, and plan royal weddings.

The Lamplighters League is a new tactical turn-based strategy game

Paradox has revealed a new turn-based strategy game from Harebrained Schemes, the studio behind Shadowrun Trilogy. The game is called The Lamplighters League and is another of his stylish pulp his adventures set in 1933. In addition to strategic combat, players also make choices that directly determine the fate of the world.

Europa Universalis IV: Domination expansion revealed

Paradox has announced Domination, a new expansion for its strategy game Europa Universalis IV. This expansion has new mission trees such as Ottoman Empire, Ming China, France, and Russia to change the different history types available. There are also new military units for several nations, political provinces to manage, and dozens of historical events added.

Surviving the Aftermath: Rebirth Expansion Revealed

Paradox has revealed a new expansion for Iceflake Studios’ Surviving the Aftermath. Entitled Rebirth, the expansion introduces terraforming for players to alter and activate their environments.

Paradox Arc Shows Off Two Titles and Expansions

We’ve seen Knights of Pen & Paper 3, the next entry in Paradox’s pop culture-infused turn-based RPG series. We also saw Mechabellum, a sci-fi auto battler in which players compete against an army of mechs, robots, and heavy weapons. Finally, Across the Obelisk: The Wolf Wars is the first expansion for last year’s deckbuilding RPG, introducing new zones and characters.

Stellaris: Overlord and Stellaris: First Contact release dates revealed

Paradox has revealed release dates for its pair of Stellaris expansions. Stellaris: Overlord adds empire management features and is coming to consoles on March 8th. Stellaris: First Contact adds new civilizations and cloaking tech, coming to PC March 14th.

Paradox Tectonic Project, Life By You, teased

Paradox Tectonic was founded in 2019 and the studio finally kicks off its debut project. It’s called Life By You and has a full reveal on Monday, March 20th. The project is led by Rod Humble, best known for his work on The Sims and Second Life.
