It looks like it’s official: Pokérus is gone. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet just released on Thursday, but players are already discovering a fictional rare disease that doesn’t exist in the new game.
Pokérus was first introduced in the second generation of Pokémon games. Status is viral in nature. Infects all Pokémon adjacent to the infected Pokémon in the party.
The disappearance of Pokérus was discovered by Twitter users and dataminers @mattyoukhana_discovered that the game’s code showed no signs of Pokérus.
Pokérus no longer exists in Scarlet & Violet! Pokérus status icon assets are not present in-game and are not found in wild Pokémon.

The virus sure sounds bad, but Pokérus is actually completely beneficial. increase.
All you had to do was place your Pokemon around an infected pouf! Within hours, all your Pokemon would be in status.
Scarlet and Violet and no more Pokérus. The infected icon is gone and there are no assets for it in the game. In fact, even wild Pokémon don’t have status.
So for those looking to earn EV quickly and easily, expecting to earn Pokérus is not a great strategy.
