Pokémon TCG to Release Halloween ‘BOOster Bundles’ to Hand Out Instead of Candy

The Pokémon Company has announced a BOOster bundle of trading cards to hand out instead of candy on Halloween.

As reported by GameSpotthe booster bundle comes with 40 mini packets of Pokemon cards, each containing a pumpkin Pikachu stamp and 3 trading cards.

Given BOOster’s name and Trick or Trade tagline, the bundle is all Halloween-themed, with Gengar in the front and a variety of other spooky Pokémon. The Pokémon Company has not revealed whether these are unique cards for this miniset or reprints of previously released cards, but Gengar, Mimikyu, Porte Ageist, Pumpkaboo, and Zubat will all make an appearance. The pack will be available on September 1 along with the next full set, Lost Origin, and will be available wherever Pokémon trading cards are normally sold.

This isn’t the first time people have broken the mold with Pokemon cards lately, as the last set of Pokemon GO included an amazing new hidden ditto mechanic. A reality show about the trading card game has also been announced, and some people are entering official Pokemon card tournaments with decks made up entirely of jumbo-sized cards.
