PSYOP memecoin faces identity crisis amidst questionable token launch

The creator of a meme coin called $PSYOP accused another person of copying his token, but the token itself was accused of being a fraud by an independent media studio.

$PSYOP Creator Claims Other Tokens Are Scams

Twitter user eth_ben (@ben.eth) said another user named @3orovik launched another $PSYOP token with the same name as his own.

upon May 18th@ben.eth wrote on Twitter:

“The token has not been released yet. Everything else is a scam. Chill. Beyond [liquidity pool] It’s the current number. ”

Both @ben.eth and @3orovik say that a hypothetical investigation by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) found no deal between them. Despite their concerns, no investigation appears to be proceeding.

$PSYOP itself has little substance, and the profile associated with the token contains crude artwork. As such, assets are rarely complete, regardless of the author’s intentions.

Media studio denounces project

Separately, another media studio, also named Psyop, has tried to distance itself from Token. May 16th. It said it had nothing to do with the @ben.eth token and said the associated spam accounts were “infringing.” [its] Branded content promoting fake tokens. ”

The media studio claimed that the $PSYOP token was a “top-to-bottom scam.” He also said he had reported the token sale, but did not specify who he had reported the sale to.

“We hope it will all be removed as soon as possible,” the studio said.

There is no indication that @ben.eth intended tokens to use the studio, but the studio itself appears to be a small company. Still, the lack of overall integrity of the tokens makes sense for the studio’s complaints.
