Raspberry Pi Pico Powers PicoBoy Handheld Console

Pimoroni’s PicoSystembut today’s project was created by a maker called HalloSpaceBoy to create something you can make yourself at home. pico boy.
Like many projects we like to share, PicoBoy is completely open source, from the code it uses to the custom 3D printed housing. Not exactly plug and play. To complete the construction we need to solder some components. Thankfully, HalloSpaceBoy has kindly shared a build guide with detailed instructions on how to put it together.
The PicoBoy Console comes with a custom operating system and user interface. Once launched, you can cycle through the list of games in the main menu and select the game you want to play. A user guide is also available that details how to use the interface. You can find replicas of classic games such as: break out, flappy bird, Game of Lifewhich also includes a beta version of the Paint application.
PicoBoy uses a custom PCB with all the buttons needed to operate the system. It is connected to a 1.5 inch LCD module and has a speaker for audio output. Uses 3 AAA batteries for power. In addition to the PicoBoy operating system, HalloSpaceBoy also created what is called the PicoBoy communications software. This is an application that runs on your PC and allows you to interact with and make changes to your PicoBoy.
