According to Hermy65, the project is a combination of open source tools created by others that work together to help bring his final project ideas to life. Hermy65 went on to explain that the Pi runs the server locally. The detected information is sent to an application called Frigate which is used for object detection. Using MQTT, the data from Frigate is fed to another tool called WhosAtMyFeeder, which analyzes the images to identify bird species.

As far as hardware is concerned, Hermy65 uses the Raspberry Pi 3B model, but you could easily use something smaller like the Raspberry Pi 4 or Pi Zero W.
