Regulatory forced Kraken exits make up the majority of ETH principal withdrawals

  • Two weeks after the Chapela upgrade, Ethereum (ETH) has broken through $2,000.

Deposits of staked ETH have exceeded withdrawals in the last 24 hours. The results are as follows.

  • Deposit: 121,806 ETH
  • Withdrawal: 28,762 ETH
  • Net: 93,044 ETH

  • But most interestingly, the ETH principal withdrawal (the highest ever) was from Kraken, which was a regulatory forced withdrawal. This represents 64.1% of the principal (489,759) ETH withdrawn.
  • Withdrawals so far, including rewards, are again topped by Kraken 598,815 ETH — a total of 35.3%.
  • The outstanding amount of ETH awaiting full exit (staked ETH awaiting withdrawal) is 620,377 ETH, with 19,348 validators waiting for full exit.
