RTX 4060 Ti Beats RX 7600 In Early Generic Benchmarks

Neither the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti nor the Radeon RX 7600 have launched yet, so it’s too early to tell if they have the requisite power to enter the list of the best graphics cards. However, upcoming graphics cards from Nvidia and AMD are already in the hands of reviewers. Therefore, some benchmarks have already surfaced before the review is published.
VideoCardz collected mixed results from a number of reviewers for the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 8GB and Radeon RX 7600. In this publication, we calculated the mean of the collected data. However, before we get too close to the leaked benchmarks, we should point out that the reviewer was using his pre-launch GeForce drivers for the press. As a result, performance may change when Nvidia and AMD release public drivers.
Common benchmarks like 3DMark don’t always tell the whole story. Therefore, treat the results with caution. Additionally, the news agency did not disclose if the graphics card is a reference model or a custom model with factory overclocks. Results include classic Fire Strike benchmarks with different settings and modern benchmarks such as Time Spy and Speed Way.
GeForce RTX 4060 Ti, Radeon RX 7600 Benchmark
graphics card | time spy | time spy extreme | speedway |
---|---|---|---|
GeForce RTX 4060 Ti | 13,395 | 6,287 | 3,176 |
GeForce RTX 3060 Ti | 11,723 | 5,722 | 2,950 |
GeForce RTX 3060 | 8,732 | 4,096 | 2,171 |
Radeon RX 7600 | 10,687 | 5,079 | 1,949 |
Radeon RX 6650 XT | 10,010 | 4,562 | 1,673 |
The result reveals that the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti clearly outperforms the Radeon RX 7600. The AD104 graphics card performed 25% better in Time Spy, 24% better in Time Spy Extreme and 63% better in Speedway than its rival, the Navi 33. On the other hand, the Radeon RX 7600 was slower than his GeForce RTX 3060 Ti in the previous generation.
However, the Radeon RX 7600 performed better than the GeForce RTX 3060. The former performed 22% and 24% higher on Time Spy and Time Spy Extreme scores, respectively. The GeForce RTX 3060 beats the Radeon RX 7600 by 11% on Speedway.
Compared to the Radeon RX 6650 XT, the Radeon RX 7600 achieved 7%, 11% and 16% higher scores in Time Spy, Time Spy Extreme and Speed Way respectively.
graphics card | fire strike | fire strike extreme | fire strike ultra |
---|---|---|---|
GeForce RTX 4060 Ti | 33,596 | 15,873 | 7,357 |
GeForce RTX 3060 Ti | 29,504 | 14,377 | 7,239 |
GeForce RTX 3060 | 22,298 | 10,436 | 5,059 |
Radeon RX 7600 | 30,925 | 10,436 | 7,126 |
Radeon RX 6650 XT | 29,546 | 13,552 | 6,755 |
The Fire Strike results confirm what we have seen in previous benchmarks. The GeForce RTX 4060 Ti was faster than the Radeon RX 7600. However, in this case the margins weren’t that great. Nvidia’s graphics card scored 9% higher than Fire Strike and Fire Strike Extreme respectively. Fire Strike Ultra, on the other hand, had a delta of just 3%.
The Radeon RX 7600 takes revenge on the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti in Fire Strike. The AMD graphics card was 5% faster in Fire Strike and 1% faster in Fire Strike Extreme. Meanwhile, the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti outperformed the Radeon RX 7600 by just 2% in Fire Strike Ultra.
As expected, the performance difference between the Radeon RX 7600 and the Radeon RX 6650 XT has narrowed. However, the former scores 5% higher in Fire Strike and Fire Strike Ultra, and up to 8% higher in Fire Strike Extreme.
The Radeon RX 7600 is clearly no match for the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti. The Radeon RX 7600’s direct competitor should be the GeForce RTX 4060, but this won’t launch until his July, so we may have to sit still for a while until we see some benchmarks for Nvidia’s graphics cards. I can’t. It will be interesting to see which graphics cards offer better pure performance and how much weight DLSS and FSR weigh.
