Rumored RTX 4090 Ti Specs Posted: Nearly Full AD102
For now, Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card sits comfortably at the top of the GPU tier, but as ever, the company is working hard to offer something even more powerful.According to a well-known hardware leaker @kopite7 youthis product uses the AD102 graphics processor at almost full configuration and consumes up to 600W of power.
According to tweeted details, Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4090 Ti model PG136/139-SKU310 will feature an AD102 GPU with 18,176 CUDA cores, 96M L2cache and a 384-bit memory bus. Unlike the professional and data center oriented RTX 6000 Ada Generation graphics cards with 48 GB of memory using AD102 in a similar configuration, the gamer and prosumer offering will feature 24 GB of GDDR6X at 24 GT/s It has memory only. Data transfer speeds are sufficient for all games, at least for now.
GPUs | FP32 CUDA core | memory configuration | TBP | Manufacturer’s suggested retail price | |
GeForce RTX 4090 Ti | AD102 | 18176 (?) | 24GB 384bit 24GT/s GDDR6X (?) | 600W (?) | ? |
GeForce RTX 4090 | AD102 | 16384 | 24GB 384bit 21GT/s GDDR6X | 450W | $1,599 |
GeForce RTX 4080 | AD103 | 9728 | 16GB 256bit 22.4GT/s GDDR6X | 320W | $1,199 |
GeForce RTX 4070 Ti | AD104 | 7680 | 12GB 192bit 21GT/s GDDR6X | 285W | $799 |
GeForce RTX 4070 | AD104 | 5888 (?) | 12GB 192bit 21GT/s GDDR6X | 250W (?) | ? |
GeForce RTX 4060 Ti | AD106 | 4352 (?) | 8GB 128bit 18GT/s GDDR6 | 160W (?) | <$500? |
GeForce RTX 3070 | GA104 | 5888 | 8GB 256bit 14GT/s GDDR6 | 220W | $499 |
According to the leaker, Nvidia’s new flagship graphics card will draw up to 600W of power, so we expect it to have a very sophisticated cooling system. In fact, it’s logical to expect at least some of Nvidia’s board partners to ship GeForce RTX 4090 Ti versions with hybrid closed-loop cooling systems.
Note that the AD102 GPU has a total of 18,432 CUDA cores, so the GeForce RTX 4090 Ti uses almost all of them. At this time it is unknown if Nvidia plans to enable all stream processors and use his AD102. This is because it can be difficult to find enough perfect GPUs with all cores running well at high clock speeds.
We also don’t yet know how much Nvidia will charge for the GeForce RTX 4090 Ti. Keep in mind that the GeForce RTX 4090 is currently the world’s best gaming graphics card, with no direct competitors. Therefore, the GeForce RTX 4090 Ti will very likely be more expensive than the current flagship, which often sells for over $2,000. It just makes me wonder how much the titanium variant will cost. I don’t think it’s all that attractive.
