Rune Factory 6, New Story of Seasons, and Daemon X Machina Sequel Announced During Marvelous Stream

Marvelous today revealed that it has several new games in the works, including Rune Factory 6, Rune Factory: Project Dragon, a new Story of Seasons, and Demon Ex Machina Titanic Scion.

Rune Factory 6 is currently in development, and the game will be set in the western continent of Adnair. “Rune Factory Project Dragon” is a spin-off work set in “Eastern Country”. The latter setting is referenced throughout the series but was never shown. Project Dragon is inspired by Japanese culture and represents the East, while Rune Factory 6 represents the West.

The next Story of Seasons game will be about the experience. Series manager Hikaru Nakano said future works would allow everyone to play with each other, which could hint at some sort of co-op or multiplayer aspect.

Demon X Machina: Titanic Psion is the sequel to 2019’s Demon X Machina. Producer Kenichiro Tsukuda will continue his role in this work. Tsukuda back in 2021 A sequel to the third-person mech shooter is confirmed to be in development.

“Project Magia” and “Project Life is RPG” were also revealed. The former is directed by producer Takehiro Ishida, and produced with the theme of “new frontiers”. The development team partnered with Fairy Tail illustrator and writer Hiro Mashima to design the game’s characters. The latter is a new IP directed by Ittetsu Suzuki, which aims to capture “expectation” by showing how every process of life is similar to his RPG.

So far, Marvelous has not set a release date or duration for these games. In the meantime, fans can play Demon X Machina and Rune Factory 5, both released on Nintendo Switch and PC.
