Saturday Night Live Casts The Last of Us’ Pedro Pascal in HBO’s Mario Kart in This Hilarious Trailer

In a hilarious fake trailer, Saturday Night Live cast Pedro Pascal of The Last of Us in HBO’s Mario Kart and task him with taking Princess Peach to Rainbow Road.

The trailer you can check out below is about three minutes long and also features Bowser, Yoshi, Toad, and Luigi.

Ten years after the fall of the Mushroom Kingdom, all that was left of the world was “hope”. Pascal’s Mario, who introduces himself with the iconic line “I’m Mario,” is asked to take Princess Peach to Rainbow Road to save mankind and is given a cart.

Instead of clickers, our heroes have to face off against Goombas, but luckily they have shotguns with red ammo to keep them safe. You can also see where they are. When asked why Princess Peach eats poison, he replies: .”

The trailer is filled with other Easter eggs, major character deaths, etc. I won’t spoil for you here.

One of the funniest bits also mentions that this new series is from “the master storyteller behind Mario Kart 1-8.” As we all know, we all flock to the Mario Kart franchise for its gripping story.

Pascal’s appearance on Saturday Night Live comes midway through The Last of Us’ first season. He gave the latest episode a rare rating of 10/10, writing, “A brilliantly told love story set in a world designed to be left unwritten. Episode 3 of HBO’s The Last of Us It’s his hour of television sensationalism.”

For more details, check out our breakdown of the actual version of the Super Mario Bros. movie, why we said this third episode was the best adaptation, and Pascal’s latest return as Din Djarin alongside Groog in Season 3 of The Mandalorian. See information.
