Sega Announces Summer Showcase From Yakuza Developer RGG Studio

Yakuza fans are desperate for more information on Lika a Dragon 8, so expect to hear more at Sega’s announced RGG Summit: Summer 2023 on June 15th. can make it, right.

As revealed in the tweet (below), the Yakuza developer’s Yakuza Studios showcase will begin at 8pm PT/11pm ET, which is 4am UK/AU ET on June 16th. Available for streaming from 1pm.

Sega has yet to reveal how fans will be able to watch it, but it will likely be streamed on its official Twitch channel, as was the case last year.

The publisher hasn’t shared any information about what fans can expect, but RGG Studio is primarily focused on the Yakuza franchise (which has been rebranded as Like a Dragon in the West), where an update is expected. likely to be obtained.

Last year’s event revealed the full story of Like a Dragon 8, confirming the return of Kazuma Kiryu along with an early 2024 release window. The developer has not been shy about sharing a major update at his RGG summit, also announcing Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erases Name as a spin-off coming out in 2023.

Other details are sparse about the upcoming mainline entry, and RGG Studio has been more or less silent since last year’s event. So his RGG summit in June could be the ideal time to reveal more about the game, perhaps through gameplay first-hands and a firm release date.
