Mimimi Games, developers of 2020’s great strategy game Desperados 3, have revealed their latest project. It’s called Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew, and Mimimi’s team describes it as a “stealth strategy” game.
In Shadow Gambit, “embark on a ghost ship with a living soul and assemble a crew of haunted pirates. Acquire supernatural powers to defy.” Your own ship is the Red Marley, described as a “ghost ship with a living soul.” From there, the individual character can take on her missions to learn more about the crew, plan their next adventure, or just hang out with them.
You can also pause time to plan your moves, and return to where you paused to try different tactics if you fail. Overall, I think it’s “Desperados 3 meets Pirates of the Caribbean”.
Shadow Gambit: The Cursed Crew is in development for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Check out the announcement trailer at the top of the page and the first gameplay trailer below.
