Pyramid Head, arguably the most terrifying and iconic villain in the Silent Hill franchise, was inspired by an unlikely source.

Ito started designing Pyramid Head based on the character from Braveheart and continued to refine the look by referencing other movies and books where people wear bags on their heads, and came up with the idea of ”the Executioner in the Old Town”. rice field”.
Ito also quoted and tweeted a post in 2017 in which she shared some of the oil and acrylic paints she created as an art student. His four he shared are from his “Strangehead” series, made between 1993 and his 1996. The first image in the tweet below is notable because it was another inspiration for Pyramid Head.

Pyramid Head first appeared in Silent Hill 2 and has appeared in many other Silent Hill games since then. He also made guest appearances in Super Bomberman R and Dead by Daylight.

Pyramid Head and Silent Hill have been silent for some time, but rumors and reports are circulating of a possible comeback. Most recently, Silent Hill filmmaker Christophe Gans said that “multiple” games for the franchise are in development.
This tease joins an unreleased Silent Hill game called The Short Message, which is gaining acclaim in South Korea, leaked images of projects in the series, and rumors that Bloober Team is working on a remake of Silent Hill 2. .
