Some RTX 4070s Already Discounted a Day After Launch
Select GeForce RTX 4070 graphics cards will be discounted to the suggested retail price one day after launch. Some of these best GPUs went as high as $629.99 yesterday, but today they’re down to $599.99. I’m not sure why the discount appears so early, but it’s a nice bonus nonetheless.
Among the various discounts, the Asus RTX 4070 Dual OC (opens in new tab) and MSI RTX 4070 Ventus X3 OC (opens in new tab) We have seen some initial adjustments. Both cards are apparently discounted from $609.99 and $629.99 respectively to $599.99 at Best Buy’s online store. Unsurprisingly, both cards have been out of stock on Best Buy storefronts since the discount started.
Thankfully, both SKUs are still available at other retailers like Newegg and Amazon for the same $599.99 price. Oddly enough, Newegg doesn’t say these are discounted prices, they sell them as if they were the regular price of the card.
The most interesting aspect of these price changes is that this change has pushed most RTX 4070 models and their factory overclocked models to a retail price of $599.99. Factory overclocked models typically cost at least $10 to $20 more than their standard counterparts due to their slightly faster performance. But this time, we haven’t seen that on most RTX 4070s, which is great for customers. is.
Also, some non-MSRP cards on Newegg are already discounted to MSRP lol: pic.twitter.com/k4xh7ITd6JApril 13, 2023
However, there are still plenty of flagship RTX 4070 models that far exceed their MSRP, with cards like the MSI Gaming X Trio, Asus TUF Gaming OC, Gigabyte Aero OC, and Aorus Master all priced well over $599.99, and somewhere in between. doing. $649.99 to $679.99 each. These cards feature a significantly upgraded heatsink with a triple-slot cooler compared to the standard card’s dual-slot cooler. Most of these cards prefer a 16-pin power connector over an 8-pin for more power limit and overclocking headroom.
But the good news is that most, if not all, of the baseline RTX 4070 AIB partner cards are currently at an MSRP of $599.99, giving customers plenty of choice.
