Sonic Origins Developer ‘Very Unhappy’ With Current State of the Remastered Collection

Simon Origins developer Simon Thomley attacked Sega following the release of the remastered collection.

Tom Lee, the founder of Head Cannon, a collaborative studio at Sonic Origins, Taken to Twitter To alleviate his frustration, claiming that Sega introduced a “wild bug” into the game.

“This is frustrating,” he said. “I don’t lie and I don’t say that what we gave to Sega was okay, but what’s in Origins wasn’t what we submitted. Integration is traditional logic for us. Brought some wild bugs that you would believe to be responsible for-many of them aren’t. “

Head Cannon previously collaborated with Sega on the reputed Sonic Mania in 2017. It assisted Sonic Origins and remastered Sonic 3 & Knuckles for the collection. But Tom Lee now claims that he and his team were essentially “another project undertaken in a completely different project.”

“We knew there was a big time crisis, and we worked ourselves on the ground to fill it, so it was made and even released,” Tom Lee said. Said. “Again, I can take responsibility for my and my team’s mistakes. There were some mistakes. Some real mistakes, some oversights, some rushes. Work, some things we noticed but weren’t allowed to fix near the end. It’s definitely not perfect, some of it is from us. It’s complicated. “

Basically, Tom Lee states that he and his team are dissatisfied with the state of the game.

Since its release, many bugs and issues affecting Sonic Origins have been reported by enthusiastic fans, and the overall reputation is no longer positive.

“We are very proud of the team’s performance under such pressure, but we are all very dissatisfied with the state of Origins and even the Sonic3 components,” he said. “I wasn’t too excited about the pre-submission status, but much was beyond our control.”

Sonic fans are disappointed with many bugs, such as Tales getting stuck off screen in Sonic 2, particle issues and Sonic getting stuck on hills.

“We asked for a major amendment near the submission, but it wasn’t allowed due to submission and approval rules,” Tom Lee said. “We asked about delays repeatedly early on, but were told it wasn’t possible. We offered to come back for post-release fixes and updates. It’s still unclear if this is happening. I do not understand.”

“I want to deal with these issues,” he added. “We provided a great deal of feedback during and after development for both Origins and its Sonic3 integration. We did a fair amount of work after the end of the work period. We supported things, Sega, and future updates. Get ready for. “

Elsewhere, after Sonic Origins replaced the original soundtrack of Sonic 3, Sonic fans aren’t happy.
