Spider-Man 2 Voice Actor Says Sequel Will Be Released in September

Tony Todd, the voice actor behind Venom in Insomniac’s Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, has revealed that the game will be released in September. Previously, it was only revealed that it would drop in the fall of 2023.

Todd posted a photo of himself using motion capture on Twitter. When someone shouted that they can’t wait for details on Spider-Man 2, Todd replied: A large promotion will take place in August. Commercials start dropping in August, so I was told.Yours…and hold your breath! You will need. ”

Sony did not respond to IGN’s request for comment.

This is far from confirmed, as Insomniac itself hasn’t officially announced a release date, but it’s worth noting getting information from someone working directly on the game.

Back in December 2022, Insomniac reassured fans that Spider-Man 2 will launch on the PlayStation 5 in 2023, with Todd previously stating that “the game is massive.” It will be interesting to see if Spider-Man 2 actually launches in September. Also, another of his blockbusters, Bethesda’s Starfield, is out on his September 6th.

Spider-Man 2 brings Peter Parker and Miles Morales together in their most epic single-player adventure yet. Both Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales are now available for his PC, PS4, and PS5.

In IGN’s review of Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, “Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is a great sequel, telling a great story while improving on the foundations of the first game.”
