Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Brings Back Several Familiar Faces

EA’s Respawn Entertainment has released the story trailer for Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which sets the stage for Cal Kestis’ next adventure.

The trailer you can see above still contains plenty of gameplay, and opens with an Uncharted 2-style scene of Cal embracing the ship for his precious life as he falls off a cliff.

Also, we get our first look at Survivors Merrin and Griez (because the sequel takes place five years after Fallen Order), Merrin sporting a new hairstyle and Griez showing a new arm.

“The Dark Ages are approaching as Cal Kestis seeks a safe haven out of the Empire’s reach,” reads the official synopsis. Five years after the events, a more mature Cal Kestis must look beyond the lightsaber to find his destiny in the shadow of the empire.

The trailer also explores this idea, suggesting that Cal and his crew may need to stop fighting and instead find a place where they can rest and build what’s next.

Cal said in the trailer that he believes they’ve found the place, but as is the case with most of his adventures and the general fate of the Jedi after Order 66, things probably won’t go so smoothly. I don’t think so.

Fans will get to see how this plays out when the game launches on April 28th. Respawn also promised a ton of gameplay improvements for Survivor, including a much-requested travel feature for Fast.

In previewing the game, IGN said:
