Star Wars: Republic Commando’s Battle Droid Gets an Impressive Black Series Figure

Fans of 2005’s Star Wars: Republic Commando are still waiting for a sequel, but there’s a ray of light on the horizon. Hasbro has immortalized one of his video game foes as part of his line of Star Wars: The Black Series action figures.

The Republic Command Battle Droid is the latest addition to Hasbro’s “Gaming Great” line-up, which has featured iconic titles such as Knights of the Old Republic and Jedi Fallen Order. This battle droid variant is the first Republic Commando-inspired figure to join the Black Series. Check out the slideshow gallery below to see this diagram for the first time.

It’s not the first time Hasbro has tackled a battle droid in its Black Series line, but this particular version features a unique weathered paint scheme and weaponry based on Republic Command. Based on these photos, the figure boasts some pretty impressive articulation, even allowing collectors to fold it into his Federation deployment mode.

Like all Black Series figures, the Gaming Greats Battle Droid is designed in 1:12 scale and stands approximately 6 inches tall. This figure has a suggested retail price of $27.99 and is scheduled for release in Spring 2023.

Battle droid figures are not yet available for pre-order. Pre-orders will begin exclusively through Gamestop on Thursday, September 15th as part of the Gamestop Collector Fest event.

Republic Commando made IGN’s list of sequel-worthy games. Republic Commando has been ported to Nintendo Switch and PS4 in his 2021, though there’s no indication yet that a sequel is actually in the works. You can also see where the game ranks by looking at the 10 best Star Wars games of all time.

Hasbro’s recent Star Wars: The Black Series includes a new batch of The Mandalorian: Season 2 figures and a life-size wearable Darth Vader helmet modeled after Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi.
