Stardew Valley Developer Promises New Content in Patch 1.6

Stardew Valley creator Eric Barone, also known as ConcernedApe, has promised new content in the version 1.6 update.

Stardew Valley received a version 1.5 update in October 2020. This marks the upcoming update as the first patch to be released in almost three years. Known as the Ginger Island update, his 1.5 patch enabled split-screen co-op on both consoles and PC. However, his PC version of Stardew Valley allowed up to four-player split-screen co-op, while other platforms limited him to two.

Meanwhile, ConcernedApe announced Haunted Chocolatier in 2021. It centers around the player his character who runs a chocolate shop and collects the ingredients needed to make chocolate. At the time, he said that Haunted his chocolatier represented the moon and Stardew his valley represented the sun because of the paranormal elements involved.

Haunted Chocolatier has not received a release date since its announcement.ConcernedApe did not disclose when the game will continue development following Stardew Valley’s version 1.6 update.
