Starfield Seems to Include a Throwback to an Infamous Elder Scrolls NPC

It’s no surprise Bethesda is hiding tons of Easter eggs around Starfield’s 1,000 planets, and one of them seems to be a reference to its groundbreaking RPG The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. .

As reported by PC Games N, an infamous NPC from Oblivion called the Worshiping Fan may have just returned to Starfield. A video released by the developer last week shows the character creation menu and its trait system, one of which he calls “Hero Worshipped.”

It is written as:

An enthusiastic fan who appears in Oblivion.

For fans of Bethesda’s previous games, this sounds a lot like Oblivion’s yellow-haired Adoring Fan. They constantly followed the player after he became the Grand Champion of Cyrodiil Arena.

Adoring fans did not offer bonuses in battles because they refused to fight. Even if he is killed, he will respawn after three days.

Based on Starfield’s brief description (which is subject to change given that the game is only a few months out), he seems to show up only occasionally, hence the diehard fan is not a perpetual bane.

Of course, we know for sure when Starfield will launch in 2023, but the game currently doesn’t have an exact release date. Because we already think we’ve found what looks like a real NASA project and our own solar system.
