Team Ninja Responds to Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden Reboot Reports

Nioh developers Team Ninja have responded to rumors that they have plans to reboot the Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden franchises, and they probably won’t be returning anytime soon.

Reboot rumors started after South Korean media outlets ruriweb Team Ninja President Fumihiko Yasuda reported that he showed off both franchises at the G-Star conference in Busan. The slideshow image (above) appeared to indicate that the developer was about to reboot a “popular series”, with Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden being used as examples.

Perhaps most recently known for the Nioh franchise and the upcoming Soul-like Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, Team Ninja released Dead or Alive 6 in 2019, perhaps making the reboot somewhat unusual. .

Ninja Gaiden, on the other hand, might be a better target. It is dormant again.
