This article contains spoilers for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and DLC “The Ballad of Conquerors”.

Nintendo has included a touching reference to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for players who have completed the Ballad of Champions DLC for Breath of the Wild.

Champions’ Ballad DLC tells the backstory of the champions who were chosen to pilot the divine beasts before they lost their lives in battle with Calamity Ganon. At the climax of the story, Link and Zelda take a picture with the champion, which later hangs in Link’s house in Hatano Village.

according to reports VG247Players who have completed the DLC can find the same painting adorning the walls of the same residence in Tears of the Kingdom, now owned by Zelda. Sadly, those who fail to complete the DLC will hit a wall of nothingness and regret it.

Players who want to take their Breath of the Wild experience even further can also transfer their tamed horses to Tears of the Kingdom during the original game. All you need to do is download your Breath of the Wild save to your Switch and access the in-game stables. There you will see an option to import horses.
