Tears of the Kingdom: Which Dungeon Should You Do First?

Look, we’re not trying to tell you how to play Tears of the Kingdom. Go out, wreak havoc, explore the world, and do what you love. but This game has some things like: please do not If you act early, you may wish you had made a different choice later. One of them is the order in which you tackle the local phenomenon quests that lead to the dungeons of Tears of the Kingdom.

After going through the Tears of the Kingdom tutorial, you will be given a main quest called Regional Phenomena. In this quest, the cities and people of Rito, Zora, Gerudo and Goron. You can defer these quests as long as you like, do them in random order, or just go as you please. teeth There are good reasons for the recommended order in which you do these things. Some rewards are much better than others and can make the rest of the game a lot easier.

Simply put, I recommend doing “Regional Phenomenon – To Rito Village” first. That’s what the game pushes you to in the first place, so if you’re feeling contrarian, save it in other areas of the game and consider going to Rito Village right away. Don’t forget to bring warm clothes along the way.

Spoiler alert: Below the video, I explain exactly why Rito Village is perfect for you. Read on at your own risk!

Lito Village will partner with Turin, a new Lito Champion with some truly amazing abilities. He can create a gust of wind that quickly blows him in one direction while riding a paraglider. This is a big change and makes traveling around the world, especially in the air, much easier. Believe please. You will use this ability often. And once you have it, you’ll wonder why you waited so long to get it.

In contrast, the abilities of other local phenomenon quests are less impressive. His Goron ability that Yunobo uses is a close second to him. He can use it to break through fragile rocks. So you don’t have to keep grinding rocks with a stick to dig a cave. For this reason, he recommends heading to Goron City second.

However, the two remaining abilities used by Riju and Sidon are more combat-oriented and less useful for traversal. Reju’s power of attacking enemies with lighting from a distance is especially useful when fighting mobs, especially Groomhands. Prince Sidon’s ability is a shield that can send out magical orbs when released, but its use is a little more contextual. Nice to have, but he’s probably the lowest priority of the four.

In addition to heading to Rito Village first, we recommend tracking down an important quality-of-life feature: Automatic Builds, before diving too deep into the heart of the game. Again, you really want this. And we have a detailed guide on how to get it.

Once you’ve visited Rito Village, acquired Turin’s powers, and collected Autobuilds, there’s plenty to do. All are cataloged in our complete guide to Tears of the Kingdom.
