Whale Alert reports that an FTX address with a balance of 46.36 million USDT has been blacklisted. Coindesk reported that the seizure was made on the order of law enforcement.
According to Coindesk, a Tether executive said:
“We are beginning to receive requests from LE to temporarily freeze assets while the investigation is ongoing.”
CryptoSlate previously reported that USDT on Tether just lost its peg during early trading hours on Nov. 10. Speculation in the space was that Alameda was shorting assets in hopes of further declines.
