Halloween has officially arrived. We are here to celebrate by introducing the winners of the best horror video game showdown. Not only do we find out what the first or 100th scary game you need to play during this spooky season, we also find out which horror games IGN viewers believe are the best of the best. I was.

Pyramid Head fans, rejoice! Silent Hill 2 won the horror game showdown with his staggering 88.5% win rate. His 2001 game, officially remade by The Medium’s Bloober Team, shows him winning 19,747 out of 22,308 duels, suggesting the idea of a remake was probably a great decision. .
Speaking of remakes, Resident Evil 2 Remake came in second with an 83.8% win rate, slightly ahead of Resident Evil 7 Resident Evil’s 83.2% win rate. Resident Evil 2 Remake was recently voted as my second favorite Resident Evil game, beating out all but Resident Evil 4, another remade game.
Perhaps slightly upset, Resident Evil 4 remained at number five, broken down by Dead Space, whose remake is scheduled for January 27, 2023.
The top ten were Silent Hill, Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil 2, Silent Hill 3 and Resident Evil Remake. PT placed 11th, meaning 10 of the top 11 games were either the Silent Hill or Resident Evil franchises. Resident Evil scored 6 and Silent Hill scored his 4.
At the other end of the spooky spectrum is Cooking Companions, the game with the lowest number of wins at 20%. Games such as The Coma: Cutting Class, Bigfoot, Scarlet Hollow and Enemy Zero participated.
Slay the Princess, Nightmare Creatures 2, Uncanny Valley, Sweet Home and Atama rounded out the bottom ten. It should be noted that many of these are games with a reputation for being indie titles without the AAA budgets found in the top games. 10. There’s still a lot of love and horror in these games, but they’re not as popular as some of the bigger titles.
