What is Face Off?
As the name suggests, Face-Off pits two things against each other to decide which one is better. In this case, we’re voting to determine who is the greatest PlayStation character of all time. With the ability to see specific characters multiple times, you can keep voting for your favorites to ensure they rank above others. pre-selected to allow you to choose from. These are randomly paired and tracked each time you pick a winner.
How will the winner be determined?
When voting closes on November 29th, we’ll tally the total number of “wins” and “losses” for each PlayStation character to create a ranked list based on the selections that will be published on November 30th. The character with the most wins will be the “Winner”, and if there are a tie, the character with the fewest “Losers” will be ranked first. Keep voting for your favorite characters and the more likely you are to rank high on the list. You can vote as many times as you like until the faceoff ends.
How can I be sure I clicked all?
All PlayStation characters are randomly matched, and with so many possible matchups, it’s hard to know when you’ve seen every PlayStation character. Playing until you’ve voted for all your favorites or keeping certain characters out of the winner’s circle are the various options available in the showdown. Determining a winner in all these matchups will ensure your chances of reaching the top of the list by picking the best video game characters.
Which PlayStation characters are included?
The list of PlayStation characters has been determined by IGN staff and we have tried to include the best from PlayStation’s past story history. We also decided to expand the showdown to any character that appeared. We’ve come up with 123 characters (good, bad, and in-between) and think they deserve a chance to vie for the top spot.
