The Callisto Protocol Has an Achievement for Seeing Every Single Possible Death
Features of the Callisto protocol are: many Dying in different ways – and rewarding you for being punished in all ways.
In an interview with IGN Japan, developer Mark James revealed that it really does have the fruits of seeing all the possible deaths the game has to offer.
“We’re working on achievements and trophies right now, and we have an achievement where we’ve actually seen all the deaths,” he said. It asks how long the game is, how many times are you going to die? There is.
Callisto Protocol is a survival horror game from Dead Space series co-creator Glen Schofield. Like its predecessor, The Callisto Protocol has become famous for its ingenious (and rather brutal) way of dying.
“It’s become our signature now,” James said of the game’s numerous deaths. I want people to see it as a time to learn what they did wrong and also as a bit of ironic entertainment about how they die.”
In The Callisto Protocol, prisoner Jacob Lee has plenty of terrifying creatures to encounter when he’s impaled in the midst of an alien invasion, but monsters aren’t the only ones that can kill you.
“Each monster has its own way of doing things, and environmental hazards are not only dangerous to your enemies, but to you as well. In one of our trailers, he’s back to fans. When you’re away from monsters must be very careful, as these hazards can kill you just as much as the enemy in front of you.”
How many ways to die in The Callisto Protocol? A lot. But achievement hunters have to calculate exactly how many by themselves.
“At this time, we are not disclosing the death toll,” James said. “But I think it takes effort.”
