The Lords of the Fallen, Sequel to Lords of the Fallen, Renamed Lords of the Fallen

Lords of the Fallen, the long-awaited sequel to Lords of the Fallen, like 2014’s Souls, has been renamed… Lords of the Fallen.

As reported by PC gamerthe name change was subtly baked into the technical showcase released on March 22nd (below). It means that they now share the same name.

A remastered collection of the series was called Layers of Fears before the second S was also removed, leading to a similar naming fiasco with Layers of Fear back in February.

The sequel to Lords of the Fallen has been relaunched at Gamescom 2022 after years of troubled development that spanned several different studios.

But it’s back on track, and the first look at its gameplay was released last December. Developed in Unreal Engine 5, this RPG promises tough-as-nails battles in a dark fantasy world that takes place 1,000 years after the events of the original game.

There’s no release date for the new Lords of the Fallen yet, but it’s coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox series, and PC.
