According to Meta himself, it looks like we’ll be getting an even newer Quest headset next year. And it becomes a new consumer headset, effectively the Meta Quest 3, unlike the just-launched, expensive Quest Pro.
The announcement was made quietly on Meta’s quarterly earnings call today, but the company said it expects costs to increase in the near future.
Meta has yet to fully call this consumer-facing Quest headset the Quest 3, but CEO Mark Zuckerberg has referred to it as such in a previous interview. including what he said It’s going to be “$300, $400, $500, price points in that zone”.
