The World of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Journey to the North Reveals the Game’s Hidden Lore

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla added all sorts of fascinating new details to this long-running franchise, even taking a very detailed look at 9th-century Viking culture. World of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Journey to the North — Logs and Files of a Hidden One.

This 208-page artbook is presented as a cosmic journal written from the point of view of Hytham, a character who appeared in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla as the tutor of protagonist Eivor. The book chronicles the lore and stories that drive the game’s plot, serving both as an extension of Valhalla’s narrative as well as the actual history that inspired the game.

Presented as a journal kept by Hytham himself, this full-color, oversized hardcover allows readers to experience Assassin’s Creed Valhalla like never before. This book chronicles Viking culture, history, lore and myth in the action and drama of the hit video game.

The World of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Journey to the North — The Hidden Ones Logs and Files come in both standard and deluxe edition hardcover formats. The latter version includes a protective slipcase, unique cover art, and an art print folio. The standard version is priced at $39.99 and the deluxe edition is priced at $99.99. Both versions will be available in bookstores on March 14th, 2023 and in comic shops on March 15th.

Dark Horse has previously expanded the world of Valhalla through both spin-off comics such as Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Forgotten Myths and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: Song of Glory.
