Vendors Turn RTX 3070 Ti Mobile Into Bogus Desktop GPUs

A small manufacturer of graphics cards is selling a so-called “GeForce RTX 3070 TiM” graphics card that barely delivers the performance of a desktop GeForce RTX 3060 Ti. This board is actually based on his GeForce RTX 3070 Ti graphics processor from Nvidia for laptops configured accordingly and has nothing to do with his GeForce RTX 3070 Ti for desktops. Unfortunately, even though the manufacturer discloses the specifications of their products, they still have pretty misleading model numbers, so they don’t appear on our list of the best graphics cards.

This is because very few people see the M moniker after Ti. The board, on the other hand, is powered by his GA104 (GN20-E) silicon from Nvidia, which is used for its laptop-bound GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, and is considerably slower than its desktop-bound sibling. .

Nvidia’s desktop GeForce RTX 3070 Ti uses the company’s full-fledged GA104-400 GPU, with 6,144 CUDA cores and a 1,770 MHz boost clock combined with 8 GB of 19 GTps GDDR6X memory. In contrast, the GeForce RTX 3070 Ti laptop version features a GPU with 5,888 CUDA cores and a boost clock of up to 1,485 MHz coupled with 8 GB of 14 GTps GDDR6 memory. The 51Risc GeForce RTX 3070 TiM, on the other hand, features a GPU with 5888 CUDA cores running at up to 1410MHz and features 8GB of 17.5 GTps GDDR6 memory.
