After hatching, trainers can name any Pokémon they like and pair them with the main character to form a buddy pair.

At the start of the game, Professor Bellis gifts the player with an egg containing either Bulbasaur, Squirtle, or Charmander (one of the three starters for Pokémon Red and Blue), leading them on their way. As players progress through the story, they have the chance to earn eggs containing Pokémon such as Vulpix, Growlithe, Lickitung, Lapras, and Igglybuff. If you’re lucky, you might even hatch shiny versions of these Pokémon.

When a Pokémon enters its Dynamax form, it grows to incredible size and becomes extremely powerful in a short period of time.

Dynamax in Pokemon Masters EX is nearly identical to Sword and Shield, allowing sync pairs to Dynamax once in a single battle to unleash a devastating attack known as a Max Move. For example, the Cygna Suit Leon & Eternatus can utilize Max his move called Eterna Beam, which uses Dynamax to deal massive damage to the opponent while refreshing the player’s move his gauge.
