From weapons to bosses, stages to systems, January’s IGN First was all about Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. So far all the footage is from the early stages of the game, but how will the team of devs Ninja shake things up later in the game? Can I get it? How can I evolve my character build? Will the stages get harder?
To answer these questions, let’s take a look at a mid-game Hulaoguan Pass playthrough from one of the Team Ninja developers.
Garyu’s Weapon: Fallen Dynasty
Huwolfguan has been the site of many historic battles, in this case a clash between dissidents led by Yuan Shao and Dong Zhuo who captured the ancient Chinese capital of Luoyang. Team Ninja implemented this in Wo Long as a giant battle site with siege weapons available to the player. Hulaoguan Pass is wider than the early stages and can be tackled in multiple ways. Break through the front lines and fight hordes of ferocious enemies to reach General Hua Xiong, or bypass it and walk through the city walls.
Both routes eventually lead to an epic boss battle with the powerful warlord Lu Bu. Will this high spec player be able to reach Lu Bu? Be sure to check it out.
