World of Warcraft Dragonflight Launches This November

World of Warcraft’s latest expansion, Dragonflight, will be released on November 28th.

Activision Blizzard announced today that World of Warcraft Dragonflight will be available on November 28th at 3pm PT…and will come with lots of new content.

World of Warcraft Executive Producer Holly Longdale said: “We invite all to join us on this new adventure, immersed in the dragon landscape, to become part of the dragon’s ancient heritage, and to watch the secrets of this land revealed together.”

World of Warcraft Dragonflight includes 8 new dungeons and 4 new zones (Dragon Isles), each themed around aspects of ancient dragons.

“When the Dragon Isles awakens, so do long-forgotten secrets. Players will traverse land and sky as they explore what the Dragon Isles has to offer,” said the official press release.

Dragonflight also unlocks the Drachtyr race. The Drachtyr race is a dragon race that allows you to freely switch between humanoid and dragon forms. It also comes with its own evoker class that specializes in dealing ranged damage and harnessing the dragonkind’s mystical gifts to aid allies as healers.

Drachtyr will be playable in a pre-expansion patch for those who pre-ordered Dragonflight.

There’s also an all-new skill-based Dragon Riding, allowing players to soar on the back of the Dragon Isles Drake. Drakes themselves have millions of different combinations, so it’s easy to make new allies your own.

World of Warcraft Dragonflight also introduces a new talent system and an updated profession system.

Four of the new dungeons can be tackled with friends as you journey towards level 70. The remaining four will be unlocked upon reaching the new level cap, with the first Dragonfly Raid available on his December 18th.

Dragonflight is available as a Basic Edition ($49.99), Heroic Edition ($69.99), and Epic Edition ($89.99). Each edition includes one or more digital items to celebrate the launch.

  • Base: Contains the Drakks pet.
  • Heroic: Includes Drakks pet, new Murkastrasza pet, Dragonflight level character boost (level 60), and new Tangled Dreamweaver flying mount.
  • Epic: Includes all base and heroic items, TimeWalker Hearthstone effects, Spellkeeper Headslot Transmog Diadem, Wings of Awakening Backslot Transmog in 5 color variants, and 30 days of game time .
