Xbox Direct: 3 Predictions for Microsoft’s Much-Needed Showcase

after microsoft very frustrating no show At last month’s The Game Awards, Team Xbox officials unveiled the 2023 calendar of events. Announcing the first-ever Xbox Developer_Direct, aka Microsoft, finally steals the Nintendo Direct Format, just like Sony did with State of Play. Because this format works. The broadcast will be live on all IGN channels next Wednesday, January 25th at 12pm PT/3pm ET. Four of his games are highlighted: Redfall, Forza Motorsport, Minecraft Legends and Elder Scrolls Online, one game is not highlighted and Starfield is not released. Starfield will get a separate Direct in the future.

First, I have to commend Microsoft for announcing Starfield’s absence ahead of time. The company has a history of ruining otherwise good showcases by failing to properly set the expectations of the Xbox community up front. They did so here, but it would be wise to ensure that the same message is conveyed directly in the Direct itself so fans who don’t read social media or sites like IGN aren’t disappointed.

In that regard, my first prediction for Xbox Direct, as I and everyone else will be calling it forever, is that we get a date for Starfield Direct in this upcoming showcase. Desperately need a release date soon. If you can’t get a Starfield release date for this event, you’ll need a dedicated Starfield broadcast date. intention Get the release date – the next best thing.

Speaking of release dates, my second prediction for the January 25th Xbox Direct isn’t that we’re getting release dates for the new games out there. No, that part is clear.if we please do not I’ll print and eat this column when I see release dates for Redfall, Forza Motorsport, and Minecraft Legends at this event. Anyway, my prediction is where these release dates will land: Minecraft Legends in March, Redfall in April, and Forza Motorsport in May.What about ESO’s next big expansion in Direct? everytime It will ship in June, so you can fill it with ink.

If I do not I’ll print and eat this column when I see release dates for Redfall, Forza Motorsport, and Minecraft Legends at this event.

Finally, with the four aforementioned games promised to be featured in this broadcast, and while it’s best to assume nothing else, we still think there will be one surprise game announcement. To be clear, it’s no big deal, we’ll have to wait until the newly revived E3 in June for something like Gears 6 or whatever id Software’s next game is./or indie exclusives revealed became.

Whether these predictions are true or false, I am more than anything to support Microsoft in putting on a good event. Xbox fans have been thirsty in the desert for over a year now. Getting at least three major new first party exclusive release dates and new gameplay would go a long way toward changing the mirage we keep seeing before our eyes. An oasis of honesty. We’ll be live with Podcast Unlocked shortly after the Xbox Direct concludes, so join us for instant reaction!
