Xbox Might Be Teasing Death Stranding for PC Game Pass

Xbox’s official PC Game Pass Twitter account may be hinting at the arrival of Death Stranding on PC Game Pass.

Today, the account changed its profile picture to a foggy landscape featuring grassy hills and rocks. Posted“Sometimes I like a good landscape photo #NewProfilePic”.

This afternoon, some die-hard fans believe they’ve already discovered the location within Death Stranding where the new profile picture was taken. @naven0m Post the area in reply… along with an image of Sam Bridges’ piss game.

Most people seem to agree that this is the correct location listed on their profile picture.

After originally launching exclusively on PlayStation 4 in 2019, both the original Death Stranding and the Director’s Cut are already coming to PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The PS4 version was published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, while the PC version was handled by 505 Games. The inclusion on PC Game Pass marks the first appearance of the game under the Xbox umbrella.

Death Stranding is Kojima Productions’ first project after Hideo Kojima’s breakup with Konami. The game stars Norman Reedus’ Sam Porter Bridges as he roams a post-apocalyptic America delivering parcels. Reedus apparently leaked the existence of Death Stranding 2 earlier this year, although it hasn’t been officially announced yet.

The true meaning behind Xbox’s bullying hasn’t been officially confirmed, but we do know that Kojima and Xbox are working together on a separate project from Death Stranding. Earlier this year, Kojima announced a partnership with Xbox to make “the game he’s always wanted to make.” Not much is known about the game yet, other than that it includes some “state of the art” from Microsoft.
