Adata’s 1600W PSU Powers Four GeForce RTX 4090 Graphics Cards

Adata will showcase an upcoming all-digital power supply at Computex 2023 that can handle four Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 graphics cards without breaking a sweat. The Adata Fusion 1600 Titanium PSU is fully digital, compatible with ATX 3.0 and PCIe 5.0 specifications, and powers Adata. Flagship power supply on arrival.

To demonstrate its potential, Fusion 1600 Titanium Adata hooked it up to a rig with four GeForce RTX 4090 graphics cards from Asustek and ran FurMark and OctaneBench to load it up.

Theoretically, four Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 graphics cards running at peak power consumption would require 1800W of power, exceeding the capacity of a 1600W power supply. However, the PSU was able to continuously supply about 1800W to the rig without issue. Additionally, the system peaks at over 2200 W, more than 37.5% more than the PSU’s capacity.

Adata’s Fusion 1600W Titanum seems to handle extreme loads pretty well thanks to its planar transformer and GaN FETs. GaN transistors are actively used in mobile electronics as well as electric vehicles, but Adata (or its OEM partner Delta Electronics) was one of the first companies to use gallium nitride electronics in gaming PSUs. becomes.

In fact, the Adata Fusion 1600W Titanium is a fully digital PSU, featuring three MCUs that enable advanced software control and monitoring, improving the accuracy of voltage regulation and power distribution. All-digital PSU users can adjust various parameters such as fan curve and overcurrent protection level. Digital PSUs can also improve efficiency by allowing precise control of the power stage and real-time adjustment of power factor correction (PFC), which Adata uses its own software to support. still need to check if

According to Adata, the Adata Fusion 1600W power supply will be available starting next month, but has not disclosed a suggested price. Bearing in mind that we are dealing with an advanced all-digital PSU with GaN, this unit certainly comes with a hefty price tag. PSUs come with a 12-year warranty.
