Alex Jones Puts Company Behind Infowars Empire Into Bankruptcy

Austin, Texas — Conspiracy in the face of a potential $ 150 million ruling to defames the families of those killed in a 2012 Sandy Hook School shooting and two more damages trials Broadcaster Alex Jones forced the Infowars Empire into Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Friday.

Last year, Jones lost four defamation proceedings filed by a family of ten killed on December 14, 2012, at an elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut. Performed by the government as an excuse to confiscate American firearms, the family was involved in the plot. Families have suffered years of suffering from those who believe in those false claims.

Texas and Connecticut judges ruled that Mr Jones would be liable by default for his opposition to the court order. Loss set the stage for three jury trials on damages. The first trial began last week in Austin. Among them, Neil Hesslin and Scarlet Lewis, whose son Jesse Lewis (6 years old) died in the slaughter, sought compensatory and punitive damages of $ 150 million. Jones and his buddy Owen Shroyer hinted to Infowars that it was a lie to remember that Hesslin had a son shortly after the murder.

On Friday, Judge Maya Gera Gambling of the Travis County District Court ordered the trial to continue its verdict despite the bankruptcy filing.

Family lawyers say bankruptcy filings are another strategy to delay the remaining two damages trials. And the second was won in Connecticut by a family of eight Sandy Hook victims. The rest of the trial is scheduled for September, and the jury trial in the Connecticut proceedings will begin next week.

“Just two days before the jury selection began in Connecticut, Jones again fled to bankruptcy court like a coward in a transparent attempt to delay his face-to-face with his years of injured family. “Says lawyer Chris Mattei. Sandy Hook’s family in the Connecticut proceedings said in a statement.

“These families have endless patience and are determined to hold Mr Jones accountable in Connecticut courts,” he continued.

The bankruptcy filing was filed under the name of Infowars’ parent company, Freedom of Speech System. The petition states that the free speech system has $ 14 million in assets and $ 79 million in debt. On the list of creditors, the company nominates several individuals and companies making legal claims against Mr Jones and Infowars, including defamation.

Mr Jones has gathered millions from his followers for his legal defense by begging for their help on his radio and online shows. To contribute Anonymous donation of $ 8 million in cryptocurrency Mr Jones said last week he had already spent. Infowars said he spent $ 15 million on the Sandy Hook bill, according to a Friday submission.

Eric Taube, a Texas lawyer who helped build a network of Infowars companies that Sandy Hook lawyers say is important to help Jones protect his business from jury trials, said Saturday I avoided commenting on.
