Alienware’s 500 Hz IPS Gaming Monitor Breaks Cover

Alienware is preparing its fastest desktop gaming monitor ever, according to a new leak.Twitter’s Chi11eddog today shared images of the alleged Alienware AW2524H. This is an IPS monitor with a claimed 500 Hz refresh rate. The veteran leaker added that this attractive and stylish gaming monitor will be officially unveiled at his CES 2023 which kicks off next week.

There is not much additional information available for Alienware AW2524H. Sources share the biggest news. So this is a “Fast IPS” panel packing monitor with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. As for the main refresh rate, this monitor is claimed to hit 480 Hz natively on the DisplayPort connector, but with moderate overclocking it can also reach 500 Hz on the same connector.

Alienware monitor terminology indicates that the AW2524H uses a 25 inch (probably 24.5 inch) display panel. Most of the company’s currently available monitors contain the next two digits after ’23’, so it’s reasonable to assume that his new AW2524H will be on the market soon and will stay current until 2024. It seems. Finally, Alienware stands for “D” in the model name for curved monitors, so this is definitely a flat display. The “H” suffix may indicate a very high refresh rate.

The Alienware AW2524H design as pictured by Chi11eddog looks very similar to the current AW2523HF we reviewed in October, although the logo text on the back appears to be a different color/LED backlight. Available for around $400, this model also features a fast FHS IPS panel, which scored well in our tests. However, the new model bumps the top refresh rate from 360Hz to a magical 500Hz. Mainstream gamers may shrug off the jump from 360 Hz to 500 Hz, but Alienware’s upcoming gaming monitors could excite serious esports gamers with powerful PCs. .
