AMD’s Next-Gen Ryzen 9 7000 ‘Raphael’ CPUs May Feature 170W TDP

When AMD and its partners began talking about the company’s next-generation desktop platform with AM5 sockets a few quarters ago, many observers said that CPU developers kept the processor’s maximum thermal design power at current levels. I was expecting to do it. However, it was later discovered that at least some of AMD’s AM5 CPUs had a maximum TDP of 170W. This is significantly higher than the current 105W. After all, all AMD Ryzen 97000 series CPUs have a TDP of 170W.

Based on the Zen4 microarchitecture, AMD’s next-generation Ryzen 7000 series “Raphael” processors are available in different configurations over different TDP ranges. According to a gigabyte leak, the entry-level SKU maintains a 65W thermal design power (TDP) and 88W package power tracking (PPT) limit. Meanwhile, according to Hardware Leaker, all high-end Ryzen 9 7000 series products have 170W TDP and 230W PPT. @ Kopite7kimi..
