Counter-Strike: Fast-paced eSports titles such as Global Offensive, Valorant, Overwatch, and the latest monitors in ASUS’s premium ROG Swift series, designed with titles like these, feature an impressive 500Hz E-TN display. .. Not to be confused with the standard TN panel, ASUS uses the new “eSport TN” technology. It claims that ASUS offers 60% better response time.

The above embedded video briefly demonstrates the benefits of ASUS and NVIDIA moving from 240Hz and 144Hz to 500Hz. Test animation smoothness, ghosting, system latency, and more.

ASUS ROG Swift 500Hz uses a 24.1 inch panel with a resolution of 1080p. It also benefits from NVIDIA G-Sync and NVIDIA’s Reflex Analyzer. It is designed to detect system latency, measure mouse clicks when using an NVIDIA Reflex certified gaming mouse, and measure how long the resulting pixels change on the screen.

ASUS also includes a new enhanced vibrance mode that has been specially tuned for eSports and built into the monitor’s firmware. ASUS claims that this allows light to pass through the LCD crystal, improving color vividness.

Don’t expect this to be cheap or affordable for everyday gamers, as we’ve seen from previous ROG Swift releases over the years.
