The Ava Labs core app states: June 20th A Twitter thread reports that it offers an AI-powered user assistant chatbot called AvaGPT.
AvaGPT answers questions about Avalanche
According to the announcement, AvaGPT is trained on the documentation of the Avalanche blockchain and the Core itself (both developed by Ava Labs).
CryptoSlate’s testing of AvaGPT demonstrated that while the app was able to answer questions about Avalanche, it was unable to retrieve current wallet balance or price data.
However, the bot was able to provide AVAX supply estimates and refer the inquirer to CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko for current market data. We also provided a link to the block explorer, but only when specifically requested to do so, not when asked to provide the balance of the Avalanche cryptocurrency address.
Each chat session is limited to 5 questions, but you can resume the chat and ask more. The app encourages repeated use.
The new chatbot will make Avalanche and Core “easier to navigate than ever,” according to the announcement, but it won’t replace tech support teams.
The price of Avalanche’s native token has only risen slightly with the chatbot news. Avalanche (AVAX) is up 6.2% over the past 24 hours, while the overall cryptocurrency market is up 4.0% over the same period.
Some projects use AI
Decrypt’s report states that AvaGPT was developed by Kapa AI, a company that creates ChatGPT-powered chatbots based on documentation. Other crypto projects such as Moonbeam Network and Algorand also use Kapa AI on their Discord channels.
Various other cryptocurrency projects and companies also make use of AI chatbots based on other artificial intelligence technologies.
Binance released its “Sensei” app in April 2023, and Solana announced its ChatGPT plugin in the same month. Crypto.com launched an AI assistant called “Amy” in May.
