‘Beavis and Butt-Head Do the Universe’ Review: Chortles in Space

The future is now with the anime comedy Beavis and Butthead de the Universe, directed by John Rice and Albert Carreros. Streaming on Paramount +.. This year is 1998, and in a variety of situations, the animated MTV villain first created (and still voiced) by Mike Judge designed NASA’s space station docking mission. Is brought in to support. In their own mind, their story is one of “two heroes seeking a score.”

The mission failed brilliantly, and Bevis and Butthead were sucked into a black hole (you can imagine their reaction to this outlook) and fell to Texas around 2022. Once with the ideal astronaut Serena Ryan (Andrea Savage), his companions wanted to hook up, but now they are ironic politicians who want their death. An intelligent alternative universe version of the pair attempts to guide idiots to the portal to prevent the destruction of the universe.

The sight of Beavis and Butt-Head understanding today’s technology is more interesting than a bit of other movies where older people are trying to do the same. Beebus is always the more sensitive member of the two (I said “member”), and when he mistakes the virtual assistant Siri for Serena, he touches on his feelings even more.

“Satirical comments about the times,” Smart Beavis observes pointed utterances by Smart Butt-Head. Judges who have spent nearly 30 years trying to make pop culture satire arrogant and profane probably understand that the actual usefulness of such work is virtually zero. Perhaps that’s why this movie, nevertheless, isn’t as widespread as the sociological range of the 1996 movie Beavis and Buttheaded America, despite being a fine-tuning scene in academia.

“Do the Universe” knows that it does not change the world or the precincts outside it. But the abundance of laughter that isn’t entirely cheap, offered by this movie, most often seen on Nachos plates, is therapeutic.
