Dell XPS 15 and XPS 17 Get 13th Gen Intel and Nvidia 40-Series Spec Bumps
Dell is upgrading some of its flagship laptop lines today, moving the Dell XPS 15 and XPS 17 to 13th Gen Intel Core processors and Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 40 series graphics cards.
Unlike the Dell XPS 13, which got a makeover last year with improved specs, the XPS 15 and XPS 17 look the same as they have for years.

Both the XPS 15 (9530) and XPS 17 (9730) support up to 64GB of DDR5-4800 RAM, starting with Core i5-13500H and ending with Intel Core i9-13900H. Additionally, they can each be configured with 512GB to 4TB of SSD storage, though Dell says the computers actually support up to 8TB.
The big difference beyond display and size is in the graphics. The XPS 15 will range from Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 4050 to Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 and also offer entry-level Intel graphics options with Arc A370M. Meanwhile, the XPS 17 starts with his RTX 4050 and goes up to RTX. 4080. However, the XPS 15 only launches with the most powerful graphics options, while the XPS 17 includes the top two. All lower-level GPUs are coming “post-launch”.
Both laptops continue to use Dell’s InfinityEdge displays, which are nearly bezel-less. Both the 15 and 17 will have high-definition OLED variants (3840 x 2400 on the XPS 17 and 3456 x 2160 at almost 4K on the XPS 15) or standard resolution screens without the OLED. All display options support Dolby Vision.
Perhaps Dell hasn’t updated the design. That’s because it still offers a creative type of service to some extent.of Dell XPS 13 We went a little overboard and removed the headphone jack in favor of an all-glass capacitive touchpad. A video or sound editor may want a headphone jack for his high-end headphones, as well as a full-size SD card slot.Probably the biggest thing I want in a redesign is the HDMI port, which Apple made thicker MacBook Pro.
The XPS 15 starts at $2,949 with an Intel Core i9, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070, 32GB of DDR5, 1TB SSD and an OLED panel, while the XPS 17 has the same specs and a top-end panel starting at $3,399. These low-level screens, CPUs, and GPUs will become available later, hopefully making what has historically been a solid machine available to more people.
