eBlaztr Showcases Upgradable All-in-One PC Case and Systems for Gamers
Danish PC manufacturer eBlaztr showcased the latest version of its “portable gaming desktop” at Computex. PC enthusiasts, gamers, and DIYers have avoided all-in-one PC designs until now. However, with great configurability, upgradeability, portability, and capable cooling capabilities, eBlaztr’s products may help transition some units.
Akihabara computer noticed The eBlaztr is part of the Seasonic booth, and it’s definitely a low-budget route to “trying to disrupt the gaming hardware industry.” A Japanese technical magazine got an update on the configuration, summarized below. Before we go any further, please note that all configurations, including the chassis alone, are currently pre-order only as the first batch has already sold out.
For the true PC DIY builder, the barebones chassis looks pretty decent at the not-so-outrageous price of $349. This provides the essence of eBlaztr, as you can see in the bullet points below.
- Chassis: width 626, height 402mm, depth 80mm, weight 6.8kg. Press the button on the side grip to extend the telescopic legs.
- Monitor: The screen attaches to the case using a 100 x 100mm VESA mount. Monitors up to 24.5 inches are supported.
- Maximum Compatibility: GPUs up to 3 slots thick and 325mm long. You should also choose a mini ITX motherboard and an SFX power supply.
eBlaztr mentions an unassembled weight of 6.8 kg in its specs, but estimates that a typical operating system with a monitor and other critical components attached weighs about 11.6 kg.
Also sold out eBlaztr Store There are pre-built versions called eBlaztr Office PC ($1,299), eBlaztr LAN Edition ($2,345), and eBlaztr Beast ($7,200). This office machine has an Intel Core i5-11400 and utilizes integrated graphics. Moving to the LAN edition will have the same processor (F version) plus a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti GPU. Beast, on the other hand, pairs a Core i9-12900KS with his GeForce RTX 3090 Ti Gaming X Trio. Check the product page for more information on cooling solutions, RAM, storage devices, etc. used.
The eBlaztr product page promotes the system’s portability (about 11.6kg, keep in mind), highlights the fast desktop components available, and provides detailed information about the build.
I think it’s important to mention the cooling options here compared to the traditional AiO. Cooling is very important with full size and full power desktop components. As for the GPU, the eBlaztr has a lot of holes in the back, so pick a model with a good cooler and you’ll be fine. Connected via a PCIe Gen4 riser cable, the GPU fan expels all heat directly out the back without any major obstructions. As for the CPU, different solutions are possible, such as the eBlaztr Beast with a Noctua NH-L9i Chromax LP cooler.
