Facebook, Instagram open NFT feature to all US-based users
US NFT creators and collectors can now connect their wallets and post their digital collections to Facebook and Instagram.
Meta announced at September 29th The Digital Collections feature is open to all US-based users. Other users in 100 countries in Africa, Asia Pacific and Middle East can only access this feature via Instagram.
Users can connect their digital wallets to Facebook or Instagram to post digital collections they have purchased or created. Collections are shared across both platforms based on the user’s privacy settings.
There are no charges associated with cross-posting or sharing your digital collection on Facebook and Instagram.
This feature also leverages data from supported open blockchains to automatically tag posts with both NFT creators and collectors.
Supported blockchains include Ethereum, Polygon, and Flow. To access the blockchain, the user will have to connect to a third-party wallet such as her MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Rainbow, Coinbase Wallet.
